Too...Many...Bunnies....

This isn't strictly speaking a poll, but really, I need some focus. I'm so overwhelmed that I can't write anything at the moment. Including anything original. Since I am trapped indoors by bad weather as well, this is not a happy situation for anybody ( Read more... )

Are you all still being bombarded with snow in the UK? I was watching RTP yesterday (Portuguese BBC, essentially ^^) and if the weather in the Azores was like it was, I can't even imagine how it is further north. 0_0

I'm on board with anything DW/Orient Express! ;) I heard something too. Is that going to be the Christmas special, you think?

I would dearly love an ancient Rome story. Let me know if you want a consultant writer for that one! ...I should be free some time next May. Hee! ;)

It is dark and cold and horrible. Just the weather for hunkering down in the mead-hall and listening to tales of monsters... We're out of the worst of it where I live, just viciously cold. Cat-flap keeps freezing shut!

I think the DW Xmas special is another Dickensfest, actually - (but the Xmas Poirot is actually Orient Express!) - which leaves the ground free for me to meddle.

*grins* With Rome, I'm truly terrified of what will happen if I get a plot to go with that particular bunny. If I hadn't specialised in castles, I would have stuck with my first historical love. As it is, I still have all my textbooks, and shelves full of Lindsey Davis...

Sounds like it's time to stoke the fire, put the kettle on and call the scop! :) It's pretty cold here as well. The temperature dropped pretty low overnight, and we've got a bitter wind blowing through today. My poor scarf never stood a chance.

Dickensfest sounds amazing!!! :) And Christmas Poirot??? Hope we get to see it here!

I can hear those books calling you from all the way over here! ;) Same here. If it wasn't for the Renaissance and medieval stuff I'd be all over Rome and Greece.

A Christmas Carol - the tag-line is 'Christmas can be rewritten'.

Yeah, Suchet has finally done 'Orient Express', so I'm looking forward to that.

Historical AU's are dangerous. I'm sure you could find something suitable in the Renaissance - an opinionated follower of Leonardo, perhaps? He seems like the type to argue with the Inquisition. She'd be a tavern wench who wants to be a famous artist's model.

Well, that's two for the space-bunny. :)

Problem is, all the bunnies are shouting at once. Rather difficult to pick one out of the throng.

It is summer here and it's looking it's going to be another strange one. Our state which has always been temperate seems to have become sub-tropical. Our weather for weeks has been hot, wet and stormy. This is the same state that last summer had the hottest day on record 46c and the Black Saturday bushfires (don't know if you guys heard about that, half the state burning) I know the U.S did as we had American firefighters here. It blows my mind that people still say global warming is a myth!

I am probably in a similar boat, I am completely stuck writing POTC fanfics. I have a multi-chapter one going at the moment. I do like the idea of an ancient Roman one. We have the Spartacus series going or it might have just finished. I can't really picture any of TBBT guys as the muscle bound gladiators from that show. Oddly though I can picture Sheldon laying back being fed grapes, is that more Greek? We love anything you write spaceanjl, you know that. Keep warm, a hot toddy sounds great and hang in there!

I can see Sheldon as a Centurion. :) My brain is definitely running along more domestic lines, though, a Senator's son and his friends. I think their feisty new slave might be more inclined to put a grape up someone's nose...

...pirates? I'd forgotten about Joseph Lee. That's another chapter of historical crazy, right there...

My vote is for the D/G fic you started to be completed. I thought you were amazing when you wrote TPP and kept up with it until the end, but then when you started writing my favorite fandom pairing of all time I was beyond thrilled!

Oh, the ferretfic is ongoing, it's just getting swamped by the other little buggers. :) I have a huge quantity of Potterfic, but it is mostly in erratically scribbled notebooks, not typed up. Yet...
