This isn't strictly speaking a poll, but really, I need some focus. I'm so overwhelmed that I can't write anything at the moment. Including anything original. Since I am trapped indoors by bad weather as well, this is not a happy situation for anybody

I'm on board with anything DW/Orient Express! ;) I heard something too. Is that going to be the Christmas special, you think?
I would dearly love an ancient Rome story. Let me know if you want a consultant writer for that one! ...I should be free some time next May. Hee! ;)

I think the DW Xmas special is another Dickensfest, actually - (but the Xmas Poirot is actually Orient Express!) - which leaves the ground free for me to meddle.
*grins* With Rome, I'm truly terrified of what will happen if I get a plot to go with that particular bunny. If I hadn't specialised in castles, I would have stuck with my first historical love. As it is, I still have all my textbooks, and shelves full of Lindsey Davis...

Dickensfest sounds amazing!!! :) And Christmas Poirot??? Hope we get to see it here!
I can hear those books calling you from all the way over here! ;) Same here. If it wasn't for the Renaissance and medieval stuff I'd be all over Rome and Greece.

Yeah, Suchet has finally done 'Orient Express', so I'm looking forward to that.
Historical AU's are dangerous. I'm sure you could find something suitable in the Renaissance - an opinionated follower of Leonardo, perhaps? He seems like the type to argue with the Inquisition. She'd be a tavern wench who wants to be a famous artist's model.

Problem is, all the bunnies are shouting at once. Rather difficult to pick one out of the throng.

I am probably in a similar boat, I am completely stuck writing POTC fanfics. I have a multi-chapter one going at the moment. I do like the idea of an ancient Roman one. We have the Spartacus series going or it might have just finished. I can't really picture any of TBBT guys as the muscle bound gladiators from that show. Oddly though I can picture Sheldon laying back being fed grapes, is that more Greek? We love anything you write spaceanjl, you know that. Keep warm, a hot toddy sounds great and hang in there!

...pirates? I'd forgotten about Joseph Lee. That's another chapter of historical crazy, right there...
