I read these words yesterday and I agreed with them.  And you? Do you agree or disagree?  I would like so much to know your opinions!

I both agree and disagree. I love to have people read what I do (and it's even better when they like it), but I don't write for the sole purpose of being read. I write because I breathe. It's not an option for me.

Lacking the attention span for a novel. I specialize in short stories because of the challenge and structure required to pull them off.

And if you don't mind, I'm going to put that link up in my journal as well - spreading the word and making people think - two things I love best!

Sadly, it didn't generate the conversation I thought it might. You can never tell what will touch people.

I felt the article was more about selling than writing. You have to have a good story first before you can sell it and I don't always write with the intent of selling. There are times when its for the sheer joy of writing - surprisingly (or not), those seem to be the stories people respond to the most.
