Oh I loved how Ianto comforted his in that small way, and Ianto's words:
“You’re not a monster.” Ianto said in a quiet voice, his attention focused on the glass in his hands. He slowly lifted it to his lips before pausing, still not looking at Jack. “Monsters don’t feel remorse.”
Aww, I love this. Particularly how gentle Jack is in wanting to have their morning coffee. Also in how he gives weapons training to Ianto. It's almost like he *respects* Ianto more than he did Gwen, and that Ianto needs space. He's not sending Ianto out into the field completely unprepared, but the gun training isn't the excuse for crazy flirting like he did with Gwen.
He's really doing his best to help Ianto and he understands the overboard flirting isn't something Ianto needs right now. I also think he feels he can relate more to Ianto than he can to Gwen because of the traumas they've been through.
