I'm glad it sounds like you've educated yourself about this, and I wish you all the best with your new choices. I would however recommend seeing your GP just to find out what you can do to replace things such as calcium, protein etc, it can be a bit overwhelming, and if you're going vegan as it sounds, that's even more tricky. I just had an upset recently because I tried to go a little more vegan (I'm lacto-ovo vegetarian) so trying to change your diet rapidly is not always the best idea.

I'm not huge on milk or eggs but cheese is the only animal product that I'm not sure I do without.

Talking to my GP is a really good idea, thanks :)

I'm not sure about cheese, there might be a vegan alternative, maybe check out your local health food store. If you want vegetarian cheese, find one that has non animal rennet.

No, I haven't even heard of it until just now. I might have to check it out though.

Watching an episode of Bones got me interested in the conditions that animals have to endure.
