This has made my night~. *grins* Definitely a good surprise to see another chapter while struggling through midterms. As per usual - I really love the way you incorporate history and nationhood into the characters' lives. This one really made me wonder about the people around them, though - with the earthquake and the fight, do any of them ever realize what these people are? And if they did, what would happen next? *grins again* Oh the curiosity~!

jfksdjfh I've just replied to you on FF.net but I'm still flailing here.

I don't think the average person truly realise what James and Mitsuru are. (There is one comic where a French soldier realises that Francis isn't getting older is kind of like, "um, what?" but a lot of people seem to know and aren't really bothered. But in my headcanon, this isn't the case.)

I like to think that the girls James had intimate moments with felt something different and maybe had a glimpse of what he truly is.

Wait until they have to tell their parents. "Hi mum, er, I found out today that I'm actually immortal Hahahaha..."

Woohooo Singapore :D I'm always happy when lil Singapore is mentioned. The most humuliating defeat the British Empire had experienced, indeed.

It's kinda intense, BFF one moment and smarting from historical wounds the next. The parting is in such a distant note. Kinda reminded me of mithrigil's 'Loaned words'. And how Arthur and Kiku entered Anglo-Jap alliance with agendas and baggages, they never did see each other as an end, merely means.

During the fight, you wrote England's name as 'Arthur' instead of James, once. Was that intended...?

Love the update. I'm anticipating for more!

I know shamefully little about history so I'm using this as a chance to learn more, especially about the world wars. (Although my Japanese History teacher was slightly surprised at my sudden interest in lectures. XD )

Oho, I'll have a look at this fic. I feel like I still need more background on these guys, especially Japan, who is super hard to write anyway.

Ahhhh oh goodness, that's a good eye you have there. It wasn't intended and I've changed it, but hopefully that shows that I've fully integrated James and Arthur in my head. Hopefully.

Thanks so much for commenting!! It means a lot. c:

Yay!
Oh man, I loved this so much. Gosh, was my heart freaking out during the earthquake scene. Poor little Japan, and his poor grandma...

Those flashbacks are quite pesky, when they're bad. I just adore the way you're writing this, it's keeping me on the edge of my seat.

Greece is next? That's bound to be fun. I can't wait for the next chapter! <3
