I adopted an orphan fic for estepheia's Friendship Ficathon.

This was written for agilebrit who requested Spike & WesleyPrompts: Angel S5, bonding over alcohol (not necessarily drunkenness), a big musty leather-bound book, poetry

The nice thing about fic is, of course, the opportunity to show these little interactions between characters that should have been given time on the show. That no one ever! asked Spike about his soul on air still completely astonishes me.

Nice behind-the-scenes look at Wesley and Spike. I like the foreshadowing of the fireball that Wesley uses in Not Fade Away.

Wonderful story, Sandy. I love the hint of gentle pathos you've added to the beginning, especially "Wesley was about to ask him to leave so he could get on with his work when he noticed a look in the vampire's eyes, a hint of... loneliness perhaps." Very believable and just poignant enough to add flavoring without being sappy. It's a pleasure to read it again.
