Reading Wednesday? Not so much.

I haven't been doing the Reading Wednesday meme because I haven't really been reading. As I posted earlier, I do things in spurts, and I'm not in a reading mood right now. I have been re-reading a Piers Anthony Xanth novel (Ogre, Ogre) a bit before bed. It's pure silliness, but I really enjoy Anthony's earlier Xanth novels. Then he got caught up in ( Read more... )

I have the same thoughts about the Xanth series.

Hmmm I should look up the summer shows since I'll be doing a lot of lying around like a pain-filled lump

I looked forward every year to the new Xanth book, and then it got to the point where I stopped buying and got them from the library, and then I just stopped reading them. because they had deteriorated into crap. I did just buy one of his newer ones on Kindle because the reviewers said that for once it didn't stink on ice, so I'll give it a try.

Yeah, I didn't see a lot (a bunch of crap reality shows), but there were a couple summer shows that may have promise.

I hope your entire summer isn't all pain-filled. :-(

I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on The Walking Dead after you've watched. I won't spoil you with my opinions until then. ;-) I'll just say - Melissa McBride just got nominated for a critic's choice award (the show's first!), and it's well deserved.

Oh, cool! I might try to get to it this weekend. I need a solid block of time with no interruptions because I seriously cannot just stop watching once I start until I pass out from lack of sleep. :-)

I devoured the Xanthe books in high school. Haven't read one in a very long time.

Walking Dead works best as a marathon. I totally understand. And I'll be giving Dominion a try as well. I don't hold out a lot of hope though.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Dominion either. It's based on the movie Legion which was one of those movies whose best scenes were all shown in the trailer. But I've seen tv shows based off bad/uninspiring movies that have turned out pretty well, so we'll see.
