My first colonoscopy isn't far off, watched the husband go through it twice and I'm not looking forward to it.

Cataracts scare me to death, you're amazingly calm. I pray all goes well with you.

Well, I'm not happy about the cataracts, believe me. I had hoped since I've been wearing glasses with UV protection for years, and sunglasses on top of that I wouldn't get them. But they run in my family, so maybe it's also genetic.

As for the colonoscopy, I don't mind the exam at all. Last time, I was even awake enough to watch on the monitor and found it fascinating. *g* The prep though? Ewwwwwww! LOL

Eat light starting a day or two beforehand and you won't have to drink all the nasty prep stuff. Worked for me. Doc even thanked me for the good job I'd done. Which has to be the oddest compliment I've ever gotten...

Good advice, although Tuesday was already going to be liquid diet day. I'll eat a really light dinner tonight though.

I had my cataracts done a few months ago, a very simple operation.

Thanks, everything went very well. :-)

It'll probably be a while before I really have to worry about the cataracts, and when I do get the operation, if they can improve on my current sucky eyesight, it'll be worth it.
