Yeah, I'm all ♥ myself. A happy ending - who would have thought?

Yeah, it was really nice, wasn't it? I love drama as much as the next angst whore, but it was just lovely to have everyone alive and happy at the end. There'll be time for heartbreak and tears next season, but it's nice to leave this one on a high note. :-D

And your icon! I love it. The Doctor in the Fez. How ridiculously wonderful was that?

"It's a fez. I wear a fez now. Fezes are cool."

And I thought I couldn't love him any more than I already did...

Icon is by roselafleur (post here), and I snagged it immediately, since I love them together - especially like this, looking all couple-y. (For years and years I've been saying that I don't ship the Doctor with anyone except the Master. And now I'm going to be horribly disappointed if he doesn't marry River. Which reminds me that his accidental sort-of proposal was just fantastic! *g*)

Oh, those are all awesome icons. I may have to snag one or two.

Well, she's hinted since forever that they were/are/will be married, so it's got to happen sometime, yes? LOL

This was an absolutely brilliant episode!! I feel exactly the same way about Rory as you do, especially about his devotion to Amy over the centuries. It's a beautiful love story.

I've been on board with Matt Smith's Eleven since the very beginning -- to the point of saying, "Tennant? Tennant who?" Not that I don't miss DT or Ten, but I really enjoy Matt's enthusiasm for the part, the energy he brings and the freshness. He's wacky in just the right ways.

I'm hoping now that things have been "reset" with Amy, I don't find her character as annoying. Don't get me wrong, she's no where near as annoying as Martha was for me -- though I did come to love Martha after she left the show -- but I certainly don't enjoy Amy's character as much as I'd hoped.

Other than that, I thought series 5 was amazing. And Steven Moffat has certainly proven he deserved to inherit the reins from Rusty.

Well, it took me a little while to warm up to DT after Chris, so it's only fair it took me a while to warm up to Matt. LOL

And I admit, it took me a little while to really like Amy (to be honest, I kinda wish there would have been a way to make little "Amelia" his companion because I think Caitlin Blackwood was just amazing in the role, and I loved her and Matt's chemistry together even more than Matt and Karen's). Once I did start to like grown-up Amy though, I really enjoyed her a lot. Although the way she treated Rory sometimes made me want to smack her! LOL

Poor Martha. While I don't "hate" her, I never have really liked the character, even on Torchwood. She's just way too wonderful and can do anything and... Well, she's just my least favorite of the current lot.

Is it Christmas yet? ;-)

Well, it did take me a while to get into this series, but I came to really enjoy it since the Vincent episode, which leaves me excited about next season. I just hope the reboot of the Universe means the end of the multi-colored Daleks. That's a Moffat conceit that needs to just go away.

They could make them limited-editions. /hopes futilely.

I know! It's just such a happy episode, and I loved it! In the last decade or so we've been roped into thinking that great episodes are big angsty tragedies, but every now and then we want a happy ending, and it's okay!

So glad Rory is back and that not only are Rory and Amy married, but they're still going on adventures. Nice!

Yes, it was just so nice that going through all the trials and tribulations can actually end in the sacrifices being rewarded, and the hero's journey actually having a happy ending, even if it's only for a little while.

It was so nice and different to have a truly happy ending for the season. It reminded me so much of "The Doctor Dances" that I was having Eccleston flashbacks with Matt. "Everybody lives!" I've loved Amy from the start, she's so headstrong and I just love it. It took a few eps to totally warm up to 11 but I've always supported Matt, now I'm fully onboard with 11 and the Ponds "That's not how it works.''Yes it is."

Yeah, I have to say Matt finally won my complete approval! I love the idea of Amy and Rory both as companions. They work so well together with the Doctor.
