Television musings and Leverage

Like many people, when it comes to tv shows, I suffer from SASS - Short Attention Span Syndrome. When a new show comes on, the writers/actors have one, maybe two, chances to capture my attention. If it's a show peopled by actors I'm unfamiliar with, they'd better grab it within fifteen minutes, or it's hasta la vista, baby

I read negative comments on Leverage that is why I didn't got the pilot episode but I will give it a try.

The episode yesterday is the second one? Or is the pilot again?

Last night they showed a repeat of the pilot at 9pm and then the second episode right after. I'd say definitely give it a shot. Even if you're not wild about caper-type shows, I think the cast is well worth giving the show a chance. And CK? Is totally yummy!!!! *g*

Mmmmm, I think I'm going to need a new icon. ;-)

Hee, I just made my own Leverage post (though it was much shorter than yours *g*) and went searching for Leverage comms. I loved the second episode. While I enjoyed the first ep, I think it's more difficult to pay attention to the story when you've got to introduce the cast to the audience, and give them a reason for getting together, etc. But the second ep totally rocked! A little more action, plus a client/cause I could really getinto.

I was feeling very verbose this morning. LOL Did you find any comms that look interesting?

I think if they keep the characters true to how they've introduced them, this is a show I can watch with enjoyment for a long time. Of course, today's writer's being what they are, they'll probably fuck them all up like they've done on Bones and SGA, and I'll have to quit watching. :-(

Depends what you're looking for. There's a fic comm, geteven_getfic. (There's one Nathan/Eliot fic there, but most of the fic so far is Alec/Eliot.)

leverage_on_tnt has icons and wallpapers so far, but looks like they allow fic and discussion as well.

provideleverage has been around since July and has fic and icons and screencaps and interview links...

I totally saw the slash potential between Eliot and Nathan, although, frankly I think Alec can be paired with any and all of the characters. LOL

I completely agree with you about How I met your mother. As much as I like AH I cannot watch the show.

I think the cast of characters really sell the plots. And, seriously, Christian Kane, even with that horrible floppy hair, is still really good eye candy. *g*

I don't know what it is about HIMYM, but I just can't find anything about NPH's character that doesn't make my flesh crawl. As soon as he comes on, I find I have to turn it off. :-(
