I do have to make the declaration that I love this show probably far more than most of the people on my flist, so I'm far less critical than most when it comes to the episodes. I loved season one and I loved season two. So, that's that. Same here! *loves show* I've been treading very carefully when reading other people's thoughts, because I am very forgiving where others are not.
And I really liked Donna. I don't think they're going to make her fall for him (at least I can't see the point of telling the same story twice, and I presume that neither can the writers).
If they can keep Donna from being a loud-mouthed spaz while still have her giving the Doctor a metaphorical thump upside the head every once-in-a-while, I'll be okay with her as his companion. And I hope you're right that they're not going to tell the same story three seasons in a row, especially if they're going to have Rose popping in and out of phase this season.
I don't know about the rest of the state, but northeast Ohio is made up of thousands of tiny villages and hamlets and farms and fields and wild woodlands. For the record, that describes nearly all of Ohio. ;) Just not the few major urban areas

Hah. Yep, that sounds about right. We couldn't even go to the reception since all I knew was that it was going to be in Jewett. Not where in Jewett, mind you. Just 'in Jewett'. But since I didn't know how to get to Jewett either since it's been forty years probably since I'd last been there and was planing on following someone from the wedding, we couldn't even just go ahead and wait for them there.
I don't know why the hell my family just can't do everything in Steubenville.
I liked John a lot more last night then I did in BBKK because James was not playing him so Spike-like.
I'm right there with you... I thought he did a decent job of putting in layers in BBKK, but he did come across as VERY Spike-like. This time, not nearly as much, but still with a nice amount of layering. And I noticed that the accent was toned down quite a bit, as well.
I'll be back to read the rest of your entry after I've had a chance to watch the new episode of Doctor Who! :-)
Yeah, I read a complaint that his accent kept "slipping", but I have the same pov about that accent as I did about Spike's. It's not the character's true accent - William was upper class, not North London, and we don't even know what John's true accent is. I think it's more true that John's accent would slip, especially when he's under duress or nervous.

As for Torchwood and Dr. Who, I have problems with both shows, even though I have tried to like them.

I'm a casual fan of Dr. Who, but I do like Torchwood quite a lot.
