I'm not so sure if squeeing is the right word. Honestly, I much prefer the current Angel comic, to Whedon's Buffy s8, mostly because the Angel comics have heart. The only good thing coming out of this, might be that they could get better artists than they've had so far.

I just hope that they'll let the Angel comics we've had so far remain canon, I really loved Spike:Asylum.

Well, I haven't read Spike: Asylum yet, though I have it on order now. The same writer is going to work with Joss on this new series. I'm very excited though because I really want to know what Joss had in mind for the season six he had planned. And since Joss is going to be involved in this comic, he's calling it canon, which I don't believe he's called any of the other comics. I guess you can choose to ignore it if you want.

I haven't gotten to read Buffy S8 yet as there has been a delay in the shipping even though I pre-ordered. I seem to have this problem with comics. :(

Well, I'm hoping that this is the season Joss planned for tv, and now gets to tell. I know that many if not most people were happy with the ending of Angel as it was, but I really wanted to know what happened next - what Joss said happened next. So I'm really looking forward to these comics - much more than I'm looking forward to Buffy S8.
