:D I always look forward to your commenting on my fics. I wasn't sure, though -- I almost went with someone more modern, like Miley Cyrus. I'm not sure if it would've been funnier or not. But I know the Bee Gees were pretty damned annoying. Thoughts?

My cubicle neighbour demon did indeed play a mix of modern teeny pop hits and every other trashy pop song from previous decades, and I have to admit that after you reminded me of Staying Alive, I put it on play on Youtube and jammed along with the song for two times in a row, but I think it fits in the fic very well - undesired Bee Gees can support the acceleration from amused to homicidal in a very short time and it'll bring Dean to tears for sure. (Plus, stylistically, even though the show snipes at the modern pop culture often enough, the music references are traditionally about the more classic era, aren't they?)

But that's just it! It might be funnier if it were some music that Dean should never have known about in the first place, but somehow did just because most people do, the way he knows stuff about Oprah. Dean being like "graahhhh Hannah Montana!" might win just because it's less plausible but still quite possible that Dean would know who she is.
