the sad or concerned thing is usually in the eyes and/or eyebrows. but the fun mouth on this one certainly changes that too. :)

*nods nods* Do you think these eyebrows say "sad"? I tried to arch them quite a bit, and I thought that made them look a bit happier.

Not on this one...I think the eyebrows are happy. I, of course don't have any experience with Anime drawing. :) You can also increase the space between the eye and eyebrow (try it on your own face - what do your eyebrows do when you smile, grimace, hear something shocking, etc.,). When do they raise/lower?

Well, I think the girl without ears with making a new fashion statement. LOL Did ya know at barnes and noble there is a book that shows you how to draw faces and illustrations for the type of faces you are working on. :) You can find in the art section. :)
