Well, it was like you said -- it was your first sortie as an official member of the EDF. And we were up against not only near immeasurable numbers of ZAFT and DC mecha, but also against that...monstrosity that Dr. Zoldark brought out onto the battlefield. All things considered, you did well to bring the Grungust Type-2 back in the condition it's in.

I'm glad you think so, sir. How is the Hagane doing? Was anyone hurt? That other ship came out of nowhere...

Some of the gunners were injured, but no one died. With the Tronium Cannon charging, the bow was almost deserted, so no one was maimed by the Kurogane's initial charge. Everywhere else on board the ship, injuries were few and far between.

Though...the Hagane herself didn't come out of that as lucky as her crew did. The Tronium Cannon in particular will be difficult to repair.

That's the terrible truth of war. It's not glorious. War is ugly, and people die... But that is what you need to go through to be a soldier. You need to be prepared to end the life of another pilot, and have yours ended as well... Can you face something like that, Kusuha?
