Annie! For real! I wonder why she doesn't stay to talk to Jeff or anything while he's awake? There must be a reason for it, and why she put herself down as his wife. Hm. Can't wait for more! x

OK, I'll spoil it for you. She's crazy! LOL. If I was acquainted with an injured Jeff Winger I'd be at the hospital 24/7, attending to his every need.

So, Annie is visiting under cover of darkness and leaving little presents for Jeff. Interesting. I'm sure there's a good reason for her subterfuge, but I do feel bad for Jeff. He really wants to see her!

I'm intrigued by the lavender scent on Jeff's pillow. And I can't wait to see how Jeff reacts when the surgeon explains who he thinks Jeff's "wife" is.

Also, loved your rating note. I laughed out loud when I read it.

OMG, I felt like I tortured that paragraph to death -- I thought of it while driving home from work, and it sounded so much better in my head. But I'm glad you liked it!

Wow that surgeon really handed it to Jeff didn't he? Being hurt and frustrated that Annie hasn't come to see him yet - you've illustrated his inner turmoil really well. Can't wait to read more. :)

My mom had a surgeon like that when she had her appendix out... it was kind of hysterical to watch. Poor Jeff, so used to being in control of everything, suddenly can't do a single thing he wants!
