Believable happy endings are difficult, but hopefully this met expectations. Thanks for all your lovely feedback!

... Oh, I'm kind of sad now. I'll really be missing this fic because this was such an epic journey, and you've really brought me back to the Naruto fandom full-throttle (I was kind of, actually pretty close to leaving). I'm really curious what you'll bring out next, because this was a fantastic intro to the Naruto fandom.

Anyhow, I loved the ending. It was very very well written, and had such a whimsical quality to it: the dream scene at the beginning sent shudders down my spine. Itachi's last words were very memorable, and I loved how you described him.

I'm really glad that you had some Sasuke-Sakura interaction in this chapter. I like how you portrayed Sakura; she was so understanding, gentle and mature. And it made me glad that Sasuke showed respect and gratitude towards her.

I really want to praise you for your portrayal of Kakashi. He's so IC here. And the passages that contained him want to made me laugh. This one amused me especially:

Kakashi checks out the next day, after making a miraculous recovery that has Sakura ( ... )

Yay! That's so nice to hear. Fic can keep me in a fandom YEARS after canon has stopped interesting me.

Itachi's last words were very memorable, and I loved how you described him.

I think - stripped of all the circumstances he had to deal with - that Itachi probably would have been a pretty good guy.

And it made me glad that Sasuke showed respect and gratitude towards her.The Sakura-Sasuke scene was sort of a replay of their scene in the first chapter, but with a lot more gentleness between them. I like that he can express things to her that he wouldn't to anyone else, including Naruto ( ... )

I read the first two or three chapters around a month or more ago and had forgotten all about this fic and earlier today rediscovered it so after several hours I have to say I'm at a loss of words at how to describe this story.
It's everything any Naruto fan could ever ask for in a fic which such a intriguing plot and beautiful resolution it's sad to see it end.
This is the kind of fic I've been waiting to read again and after months of having mediocre fic and other hits and misses I'm ecstatic to have have found this. ^_^
Truly this is one of the best Naruto fics I've ever read (And I've been reading them for a few years now) and not just for the SasuNaru, but just everything about it. It's overwhelming and emotional and just brilliant. Definitely adding this to my memories. Again a masterpiece if there ever was one and I look forward to reading your other fics as well.

Thanks! I'm glad you came back to it.

Thank you so much! That's a crazy nice compliment. I have some other Naruto fic in my memories, and I just posted a one-shot follow up to this yesterday. Enjoy!

MARRY ME

I've been reading as you updated, but too busy to leave a response. *grovels* Butstill, I have throughly enjoyed this fic. It was amazing and always the perfect balance of subtle and blatant. The dream/crazy sequences were all deliciously trippy and lovely and amazing.

Somehow it made me love Sasuke a little more, as much of a dumbass as he is. Of course, I already love Naruto himself, but you wrote him amazingly well. Kakashi, well, I think you write Kakashi especially perfectly. Spilling his water and faking his symptoms were pure gold.

So basically ASKDF;; THIS WAS AWESOME. :DDD <3 <3 <3 I encourage you to keep writing in this fandom SO MUCH. <3

Aw, thanks! I had a lot of fun writing insane!Sasuske.

Thanks! Sometimes I wonder why I like Sasuke at all, but then I remember that NARUTO likes Sasuke, and I like Naruto and want him to be happy. And Kakashi is made of win, no matter what. :)

Thanks for the feedback!

that was great.

and kakashi was perfect. i expected no less from you since you'd nailed every character so far, but it's definitely worth a mention. good kakashi portrayals are rare.

After a really long not-much-fun day and four hours of cramming this made my life worthwhile.

I will miss this fic :) Your characterization awes me.

Aw, thanks. I spent A LOT of time (um, too much, I'm sure) worrying about character motivation, so the fact that you liked the characterization is super-nice to hear. Thanks for the feedback!
