I don't remember for sure, but I thought there was a scene of them seeing each other close to the beginning of this season, and that Cooper was teasing Sherman about something and it was kind of sadly impersonal.

Yup.... Sammy suggested they go see Cooper, and when they stopped by, Sherman was really chilly and took offense when Cooper joked to Sammy about Sherman stepping on his meat (or something to that effect)...I thought Cooper looked a little surprised and sad about Sherman's response in that scene
