I still join chat and such but yes, I hadn't read anything in a while and I found myself both, busting out the books again, and simultaneously reading fan fic again. :)

I need to do that, too. Not sure what's been going on, who's writing what, etc. :) Only one way to find out though.

Same here. When I first entered fandom I just dived right in and read everything. I think it's actually harder to come back, not knowing the 'who's writing what' because you've already got your favorites and you already know the types of stories you most like so you are still trying to seek those out. And unlike when you just read everything, you're likely going to try to be a bit more selective now and that makes it harder to find what you're really looking for.
