Ok I'm bummed!! I've been looking for a new layout for forever, and I finally found this one and was so excited because I love it!! I was looking for a Smallville one and not only did I find Smallville ones, but I found this great Chloe one!! Chloe's my fav! Well apparently I'm just retarded because I always mess these things up!!! The link thing

First problem: you have the ad-supported journal. I had it too, but when I got my new layout (the one I have now) I had to get rid of it, b/c it did the same thing yours is doing. Her layouts don't comepensate for the ads, so if you want your layout not to run over the ads you either have to go back to the basic journal or change your layout.
Second, its kinda hard to tell what's wrong with the rest of your journal... if you decide to get rid of the ads then you might be able to see better what the problem is.
Third, I went to that link, it said to make sure you replace everything, so maybe because you haven't put a quote in is the reason why its not working right. Maybe just try putting something... anything in, and see if that helps any?
anyway, i'm gonna try the code out, and i'll let you konw what happens.

1)delete your icons. you can also try not having a "default" icon, and just making everything else regular icons, but it already has an icon built in, so you don't need a default icon.
2)the ads - probably gonna need to get rid of the plus account
3)your links may be part of the problem? if you only put in one link, delete out this part in your code:

FOR EACH NEW LINK COPY AND PASTE THE ABOVE
otherwise, fill it in. that could be making your code all crazy like that on your page.
4)try those things, see if that fixes it. i tried it over at my other journal i never use, and it worked, just gotta play around with it.

Thanks so much for all the help Laurie!! You're the best!! I've gotten a bit, hmmm shall I say agitated with people in general lately, but you have helped because you have hardly any time at all and are so busy, but you still find time to help me out (with my resume and with this). I wish we would get on at the same time! Maybe we should make an internet date, haha!! When do you normally get online now? I could try and get on then! Thanks again, I wrote a new post stating my only problem now. Not sure why it's off center now.

I think its supposed to be off center. I looked at my test journal, and it did the same thing. http://breakmeopen.livejournal.com/ i think that's just how the layout is.
Um... I don't really get online much anymore... that is to say, I'm online all the time, like aim, but I can't even remember the last time I actually talked to anyone on there. As far as doing anything online I usually do it when I get home from work at like 6 am (like right now, or when I worked on your layout), and sometimes - rarely, mid-afternoon like around 4 or 5ish. But things have been so crazy lately I haven't had much time to do that either, between work (both) and church and my bday, etc.
I might be on tonight though... no work, and I have no plans as of right now to go out or anything...
