I haven't posted anything lately, simply because there was nothing to talk about. But I am happy to report that Steffi is on her feet again and it's not the bird or swine flu. As for me, I'm sorry if it came across the wrong way, I wasn't really ill, I was just going through that monthly low where I like to hide away and hate my life in peace, ( Read more... )

Glad to hear that you are doing better!

About the teaching, I've heard similar stories from people in the guest house who are teaching English here in Japan. Some classes are just terrific whereas some just suck. And some ages are just tricky, so don't worry, it's definitly not your fault!

Haha, Sherlock Holmes is back! And I think you guessed it right, probably those students are Chinese-American, I'd have no other explanation.

Oh, coconut... would love to have some right now! Instead I might treat myself with some self-made matcha latte XDDD

Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one with the same problems with classes, then. Phew ^,^x~

SELFMADE MATCHA LATTE?! HOW? Can you buy Matcha-powder or something over there? I've been looking for some here, but so far my search has been in vain!
Sure am going to miss that Matcha taste back in Germany... *sigh*
There should totally be Kaba-Matcha. You know, like they have banana and strawberry flavour, just mix it with milk... *¬*x

Definitly not! Just yesterday, a guy told me how he had 4 classes on that day and the first 3 went completely awesome, however the last class didn't check AT ALL what he wanted from them. So it really depends on the students, not only on you!

Haha, very easily done. Yes, you can buy green-tea powder (in all kinds of varieties and prices... I took the cheapest one just to give it a try^^). You just dissolve the green tea in cold water, foam hot milk, but both together and add some sweetener if you like. it's not the exact same like starbucks, but still it's nice and a lot cheaper, of course. ^^ Next, I'll try matcha-cake ;-)
Haha, I didn't know they have kaba in banana and strawberry flavour!
But you know what, I found out that starbucks once had Azuki Frappuchinos. goodness, that must have been nice! XDDD
Oh, I could go on and on about this topic!
