Are bunny slippers as much of a cultural colloquialism in France as they are in the USA?

Also, is there still a Garfield LJ feed someplace? I followed one for awhile but then it died.

Bunny slippers are known in France, but they're not common (maybe we've seen them in American movies or shows).

I'm not sure about the feed. I get my daily Garfield fix from my Yahoo! page.

"Classic" or "Default" French slippers are called "Charantaises".

I couldn't find a great picture, but this is what they generally look like.
