I have a permanent lj account now, and more icons that I can use.

Here's a close-up of the Gutenberg statue in Strasbourg. I like to imagine those dudes speaking in my head. Also notice how Mahmoud will be remembered forever through his "tag" in the stone (top left corner).

I heard from a couple of people talking about a permanent account now. How did you get yours? Working for LJ? I saw one was starting sale at $150! Eeep!

It was a one day thing on the 8th of June. For one day only you could buy a permanent lj account. Yes, for $150. Josh talked me into it. But it's true that I've been using lj on a daily basis for a while, so I might as well pitch in (I'm trying to justify my purchase to myself, really).

Nah, I think its cool! I had read the LJ news page too quickly - I thought it was just ONE account available so I couldn't imagine how much people would have been willing to pay for it then :)
