I am so torn about the Tony/Tim! I watched the show and my immediate reaction was Gibbs/Dinozzo (and why does this ship come with last names?) but then I started reading the fic and now I'm... *wibbles*
And it doesn't help that in typical "avoiding-my-MA-thesis-at-all-costs" fashion, I have now got a plotbunny for a post-season-six casefic that takes place in Iceland (of course) and features Tony and Tim and the ever convenient "two men are not capable of sharing a room without sleeping together" plot device. *facepalm*
why does this ship come with last names? ... maybe because it would add up to "Giozzo"? Then again that hasn't stopped some of the even sillier ones. (I still think Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis should have been known as Jizabeth.) Me I never saw Tony/Gibbs as anything other than Tony-maybe-has-a-bit-of-a-crush-but-mostly-it's-daddy-issues-and-also-Gibbs-is-the-straightest-dude-alive so I am very happy you have had the plotbunnies attack. Yay! :D
Hahaha, yeah, some ship names are... yeah. (I think of all the fandoms I've been in, LotRiPS was probably the worst offender on weird ship names.)
And no, no, you're not supposed to be happy about the plotbunny attack, because dammit, I need to write this here thesis and thinking about how Tony and Tim are too tired to turn the double bed into a twin because of jetlag the first night in Iceland and end up the next morning all smushed up together and it turns into a Thing, and how Ziva is back in DC but kind of really in a bad shape - which is why Tony and Tim got sent to Iceland in the first place - and it has Tony feeling really all kinds of guiltybad about it and Tim is not sure if he should be sympathetic or ignore it, and then they have a boatload of unresolved issues, a case to solve, and a bunch of Icelandic cops on their asses who are absolutely and utterly nonplussed by both the authority of NCIS and by the two of them personally and... Katie, you were supposed to help dammit.
