hahaha i do kind of love the 538.com comments - the sarcastic "GREAT NEWS!! FOR JOHN MCCAIN!!" is amusing me way too much at the moment. I also love comments like a 30% maximum tax rate is the only AMERICAN tax rate.

I've decided to try and ignore all the election stuff for the remainder of the week - I was losing sleep over it. It's probably easier said than done since there is prop 8 crap everywhere. *sigh* I was driving down the street the other day and saw a bunch of kids who should have been in school marching for it - waving their signs and such. I just thought 'how sad' - their parents are teaching these kids to hate. (And I wonder if they even understood what they were marching for ... or how many of them understood it anyway ... )

Anyway, yes, yes - I was SO shocked and surprised. I think I did a Sally Field thing ala 'you guys like me' LOL And I got all teary eyed because it was so sweet of everyone. Thank you so much, hon. *hugs you*

Seriously, if it's this mad on the other side of the atlantic I can only imagine how emotionally/mentally taxing it must be over there right now. An god, KIDS marching for prop 8. Jesus christ. I really hope enough the CA freaks and geeks and queers vote to outnumber the crazies, but even with CA probably going for Obama it looks like 8 might pass. :( :(

Good to know I'm not the only person doing that.

Also, I may have just arranged to take next Wednesday afternoon (which will be the evening of the 4th) off work so I can catch the results as they come in ... Luckily the 4th is a public holiday here, so I can keep up on all the breaking news going in to election day.

cool :) although like 2000 of them chasing you probably wouldn't be fun if it was polls, poles or Poles :p

(we had a polish guy on our course, he was like "So, you've met many polish people before, yes ?" hee)
