Some of you reading this might have noticed that most of my fannish energy these days is going into knitting.

However, I just saw the Watchmen trailer.

Um, I think I will be over here dying of geek anticipation for the next, oh, YEAR.

It does look rather nifty. :)

The real test will be whether or not Alan Moore eventually decides to have his name attached to the film. You never know, he could change his mind. ;-)

I don't often have much good to say about trailers generally, but that one - at least to my fangirl brain - can only be described as beautiful. Wow.

Hahah, oh Alan Moore. I think we can be fairly confident in anticipating outrage from him any second now. *g*

Waaah! I won't be fully media-enabled again until tomorrow. Will watch then, though!

In the meantime, in case you feel like making a shiny new feminist rage post, have a link:

Can you say "Margaret Atwood"? We need Daleks. Lots of Daleks.

I've seen it. It made me re-enact my icon. If I think of anything else to saying about other than that, then yeah, there will probably be a seriously obscenity-ridden post about it!

~nods~ Thankee. As you know, it's more my way to be feminism rather than post about feminist issues, but damn, someone's gotta get those nutters OUT OUT OUT. I'm old enough to remember when chemical contraception was difficult to obtain (and in my homeland, outright illegal) and real abortions almost impossible to facilitate beyond the coathanger level. And then it all went sane for a few blessed decades. And now it's all going so very, very backward(s). I weep for the generation currently approaching menarche :-(

BTW we watched acts 1 and 2 of Doctor Horrible last night. Well, at stupid o'clock this morning. Awesome! Skulls and crossbones are nice, but we're definitely buying the DVD when it comes out.

I'm mostly crossing my fingers and wondering how many friends we could accomodate, should people need to get the hell out in a hurry. Um, at least Obama is way ahead in the polls so far...? (And sorry if I sounded snippy - the whole thing is just really pissing me off at the moment.)

Dr Horrible is really funny. :) And the DVDs sound awesome - commentaries and behind the scenes and all sorts of glee! :D

It REALLY DOES. That is unfairly gorgeous, and looks so like the comic in good ways and not bad ones, and OH MAN.
