Well I went to meet Sumitra. I had the usual pre-meeting-people nerves, basically getting a bit paranoid about the usual things (will they be an axe-murderer, will they take one look at me and go 'ewww, no way am I talking to you', that kind of thing). 'Brolly' is only used in the states by anglo-philes and people like myself. Come to think of it, I don't use it that often, either. But I should, it's a much less cumbersome term, really.

The coffee shops and bookshops in Brum are some of the best I've been to- and you are right about New Street station, it *is* a portal of hell, but its about a million times better than getting a bus. Damn public transport.
