I've wanted to move to Canada since I knew anything about it at all, which I think is from about eight or nine and watching Colin Mochrie on Whose Line Is It Anyway? Getting to actually do it just made the urge worse. *sigh*

Well, by 'it' I meant 'make me cough up icky crap', so I think we're OK. :)

I kind of like the Marvin Gaye version, but yeah, the people who haven't heard Gladys' are missing out.

I was born long enough ago to have had the privilege, as a barely-adolescent, to see Gladys (when she wasn't much more than adolescent!) and the Pips doing the original live. And to hear the Franklin Sisters, when Aretha was still with them, doing the original Piece of my Heart. Those things tend to stick! Marvin who? Janis who? :D
