That was really interesting! Thanks for posting it. I've always wanted to read a lot of Freud, but I never manage to get through more than a couple of chapters every couple of years because his obsession with dangly bits is so completely irritating.

Oh, and two other totally unsolicited comments:

This is why, in theatrical versions, Hook is often played by the same actor as plays Mr Darling

I was actually under the impression that Barrie intended for the same actor the play both parts. Not certain about that, though.

And I think you're missing an "are" in the second sentence of the second paragraph ("The features of Neverland are those...").

Heh, obsessed is definitely the word. I mean, he wrote about lots of other stuff too, but in the end it's still All About Sex.

And ack, you're right. *corrects*

The word "it," as in, "it ain't pretty," refers not to your Peter Pan essay, but to my reason for saving it, BECAUSE I THINK THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE REVOLVES AROUND ME.

No, wait, I think the universe revolves around caffeine. Righty-o then.

Possibly you and caffiene? Personally I'm rather in favour of both. :)

All very interesting, and a good read.

But what I must say, which unfortunately bears no relevance to Peter Pan is this:

OMG SQUEE YOUR ICON! *dies*

Ahem.
