On the subject of LAVA...

Not sure how accurate this is, but I came across this impressive (and pretty frightening) animation of Pompeii on volcano day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dY_3ggKg0Bc

Poor Eddis. Imagine seeing this in your dreams, happening to your home. :'(

No wonder she and Gen are a bit touchy about it with Sophos.

Darn it! I should go to bed. Now you've got me watching videos about Pompeii. XD

Okay, this animation is terrifying and pretty accurate according to what I know of the archeological records. I'm not sure if that's lava at one point, which isn't accurate. The city was buried under an avalanche of ash and not lava.

The roof tiles falling reminded me of Costis getting under a load of roof tiles!

The body casts are the most disturbing thing.

The roof tiles made me think of Costis too!

Or, quite possibly, I'm just thinking about Costis all the time.

Oh, and funny story... When you were talking about ordering pizza... I ordered pizza from the one place in town that delivers a few weeks ago, and the next day learned that it caught fire and was badly damaged by smoke. Hmm... The curse of the pizza delivery?

Smoke. Fire. Pizza.

Hopefully, your pizza place won't be on fire tomorrow.

That Pompeii eruption video was used in the Pompeii exhibit at Union Station in Kansas City, along with special effects like a smoke machine. It really put things in perspective.

O_O

It's scary enough without special effects!
