Okay, this animation is terrifying and pretty accurate according to what I know of the archeological records. I'm not sure if that's lava at one point, which isn't accurate. The city was buried under an avalanche of ash and not lava.
The roof tiles falling reminded me of Costis getting under a load of roof tiles!
The body casts are the most disturbing thing.

That Pompeii eruption video was used in the Pompeii exhibit at Union Station in Kansas City, along with special effects like a smoke machine. It really put things in perspective.
