I was supposed to take a scene from a movie or book or a poem or song and use it as an example of good writing. So I chose a scene from the KoA. Bravo! I just got a chance to read your essay, and boy, did you hit the nail on the head. If I am halfway through a book and couldn't care less what happened to the characters, then something is obviously missing. You did a great job stating what makes us love a book, and you make a great case for QT.

I also wanted to add - SOmetimes MWT just gives us '4,' lets us assume that she means 2+2 and later tells us that it's really 3+1.

I enjoyed reading you essay. It reminded me of how much I love QT!! :) There are tons of great examples of letting you use your imagination in TT, too, and I will never forget the shock when the guards in Eddis didn't have a caniption fit when Gen showed up. I believed Gen's story for the magus, and that's one of the best part of the series - the shock!!

Thanks for sharing!! :)
