A bright new day on the Barge! And how are you all feeling, my little lovesick darlings? As amorous as ever? Love is so... sickening beautiful.
...Doctor, I--
...
Well. Lucky me, I'm unaffected by this turn of events. It seems I must remain the detached observer.
[OOC: Strikes are just scribbled out. Still keeping whether or not he's

Ohh, you know me too well. [He holds up his other hand and wiggles his fingers]
So, I'm free now, aren't I? That's enough for the Admiral?

Open! [He declares this with a little flourish, then tries to open the door... to no avail. He sighs, turns, and leans back against it, glaring at the Doctor] This might have worked better if you hadn't locked it with your screwdriver.

[He goes over to the door and pulls the sonic screwdriver from his pocket, flashing it at the lock. That done, he flips it up into the air and catches it (an old habit, but it was such an impressive one, he felt).] That should do it, then. If not, try adding a "Sesame" this time.

[He rolls his eyes and turns to open the door again] I think I've got it, thanks. [No flourish, no declarations this time. The Master simply turns the knob and...]
[SUCCESS!]
Doctor, I could kiss you! [He turns, eyes alight, then... his face falls into abject horror and revulsion] That was the flood. [Pause] Speaking. Right then. Not me.

Oh-- oh, I knew it! You're just as affected as the rest of 'em!

I'm not. Time Lords are above such emotional manipulations.
[But then he realizes that the alternative to being affected is: an admission that this is how he always feels? Ew. That can't be right. He honestly couldn't tell the difference between love and hate, so he really wouldn't know if he's affected or not]
[And so, the Master sighs and picks the lesser of two evils]
Fine. Perhaps I'm affect-- GO AWAY.

Oh, come on, just admit it. You fa~ncy me. [He speaks in a sing-song voice and then pauses almost thoughtfully.] Well, who could blame you? It's me, after all, and I'm both generally and specifically brilliant.

It's just-- wishful thinking on your part. Ohhh, you'd like for me to be affected, wouldn't you? A victory to lord over-- oh, you think I'd be docile and cooperative if I fancied you, welllll--
[Okay, he's just ranting now.]

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much.

I DO NOT FANCY YOU!
[If the Doctor won't leave him be, well then fine! He'll do it himself! And so, the Master does the ever so mature thing of... turning and bolting out the door.]
[He'll just... lay low. Ignore the Doctor until the flood's over. And then-- then everything would be back to normal.]

It takes a few cathartic minutes of the Doctor laughing at the situation -- and blimey is it a hilarious one -- before he can collect himself enough to step out of the room and shut the door behind him. Another second, and he finally wanders off towards his room, grinning the entire way.
He'd let the Master find him later, as he usually did. And he had the distinct feeling that that was going to be a riot.]
