Thanks! I'm experimenting with photo editing - it's not my strong suit - and I'm trying to come up with some things to make them look different, since we don't remember things with crystal clarity. Really like how these came out.
He's a bit underappreciated, as are the Grunt boys in general. The boys get some love here and there, but imo there's a lot of depth to explore there, especially with Buzz. Doesn't hurt that he's a stone fox, either. The man could eat crackers in my bed any day of the week, srsly.

I've been playing the megahood as a prosperity... slowly weaving their story in 'diary entries' that started over 2 years ago... and my Tank is that guy for me. I thought I'd hate him but I wound up sooooo loving him. And then the last time I played... Buzz showed up on Tank's doorstep several days in a row after they'd had a fight... with the expression of 'I have to apologize to my son, but how?' on his face. So yeah... I can see where he can be more than a one-dimensional tool. I just wish it won't take another two years for me to get back to him! ;-)
Oh, I love Tank, too - I did a story that focused more on him prior to this one (and set in a parallel universe, this is a different Strangetown than that one) but the crushing on the boys has always felt like cradle robbing to me. Buzz and I are approximately the same age, though, so I feel free to crush on the middle aged hottieman.
I like that too - that one is a "necessity is the mother of invention" shot, and you wouldn't believe what I had to go through to get that, but I really like how it came out. Second to last one is my personal fave, since they did exactly what I wanted them to with their facial expressions.
BTW, any of you who don't have the purple OMSP shelves from MTS2? Get them. Seriously. Go get them now.
I've never played with the premades, but I don't feel like I have to know who they are to understand your story. It's really well written. The shots are cleverly posed and lighted; I like the blur on the flashback/memories and the sepia tone you used.
Thanks! The pictures are my weak point, as I don't have the editing skill to just fix it in Photoshop if it isn't how I want it, but I get by :)
I need to go back and treat the earlier flashbacks - I REALLY didn't have the skill to do anything with those when they were originally posted, but I'm getting better.
And not knowing the premades may actually help you on this one..I'm deviating a bit from canon, not to mention just flat ignoring some of Buzz' preloaded memories. But hey, I'm just invoking artistic license...or some crap like that. :D
Finally got caught up. Very good story. You have done excellent work here. :) I understand about not looking the part, I'm 1/4th Choctaw, but have pale skin and green eyes. I really like how you made Buzz in to a whole person, I've seen way too many strangetown stories where he is just a one dimensional representation of a stereotype. You've made him in to a human, and produced a great story from it. Excellent.
Thank you! Buzz is my favorite Strangetown resident, probably for that reason - he's oft overlooked or just used as a representation of the stereotypical authoritarian father. Now, he runs his house much like a military camp, and has since Lyla died, but that's what he knows. Unfortunately not all his kids have responded all that well to that. And he knows it, but he doesn't know what to do about it. He's certainly not perfect. I loves him anyway, though <3
I'm Cherokee, myself, 1/16, as I said, and I don't look it at all - I look Black Irish, like my mom's side. I had originally planned to make Buzz 1/8...but then I did the math again and it didn't work out, so he's 1/16. Whoops. Glad you're enjoying this, although sorry you're home sick!

I like how the flashback pictures have a hazier feel to them. This is the first time I've really noticed it.
