I cried a little when I saw this on tv earlier and I wanted to share it with people, I guess. My parents are both Queenslanders originally, so I have family all over the state, including cousins in Ipswich, Brisbane, and Toowoomba. I'm grateful that they are alive and well even if it seems like their lives have been totally turned upside down ( Read more... )

:( I go to uni in Queensland, and just watching all the footage, including my uni flooding, is just so surreal. It's so depressing seeing everyone lose so much.

I hope you and your family are all safe. Toowoomba has been hit so hard, agh. The worst should've peaked, but stay safe.

I'm glad you're safe <3 The footage of the riverwalk was tripping me out, I can't even imagine being up there right now.

When we heard Toowoomba had been hit we were like ............. I MEAN, IT IS ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN. AND DROUGHT-PRONE. Last place I ever expected this to happen.

the world has gone mental. some of the victorian floods are in towns where a year ago the rivers and lakes had all dried up because of drought.
