Kabuto, as usual, was reading. He was sitting at his desk, one hand on his computer keyboard and the other holding a book. Really, he needed a social life.

He had a feeling that theoretical 'social life' would be by at any moment, so he left the door open for her. If it was shut, he'd have to get up to open it.

Ino was halfway through her shower when she realized that she still hadn't told Kabuto that they were going to the party. Finishing her shower, Ino wrapped a towel around her hair and another around her body then stalked across the hall.

"What are you doing just sitting around?" She demanded, "We're leaving soon!"

Kabuto turned slightly, blinking at Ino. "Leaving?" he asked innocently, though his eyes flicked noticeably up and down Ino's towel-covered body.

Ino blushed at his look but tossed her head and said, "Yes, leaving. There's the New Year's party and we're going."

"Or, we are?" Kabuto smiled, marking his book and getting up to walk over to Ino. "Nice of you to say something about it."
