Shinji had left for lunch a bit earlier than usual, and already ate his reuben sandwich. He got to his coffee and glanced over to see Lisa about ready to eat. He then realized it had been a while since he had a chance to talk to her. He shook his head. What kind of friend was he? He also noticed the obviously irritated look on her face. So it was set in stone. He had to talk to her. Besides, he had an urge to catch up.. maybe gossip a little.

He walked over, giving her a grin. "The reporters there sure make ya wish there was a criminal. Maybe then we could've got a hit out on 'em." Hopefully that'd get a laugh, a smile... something out of her.

Lisa turned at the familiar voice, seeing Shinji walking towards her. At his words, she nodded and even laughed a little. "I think I actually may be even more irritated if there isn't a criminal here. At least then all of this... hoopla, I guess, wouldn't be for nothing."

Taking a bite of her soup, she waited for the blond to sit down. "What do you think? Are there criminals here?"

Shiji sat down and brought his coffee to his lips, taking a drink. He smiled, arching an eyebrow. "Sure, there are criminals here." He shrugged a little. "Liiiike... its a crime to be this good looking, right?" He laughed at himself, and shook his head, showing that he obviously didnt think that was the case.

"Obviously there's something up, I mean who would start the rumor and why? I guess someone has a bit of a shady past or somethin'... but if they're hired here, I'm sure whatever it is, is all done and over with." He took another sip. "Or maybe someone just decided to be an asshole, I dunno."

Rolling her eyes a little (even though she knew that her friend was kidding), Lisa took another few bites of her soup before answering. "I bet Hiyori would beg to differ." Her tone was serious, but there was a hint of humor in her eyes. She liked Shinji's modesty, though. He didn't let his good looks go to his head.

The receptionist offered Shinji a little bit of her food, even though she knew he had probably eaten. "There are some assholes in the company," she finally said. "But I never expected a rumor like this." After a moment, Lisa looked at the blond before adjusting her short skirt. "So. How have you been holding up? This is the first time I've seen you since the merger."

Shinji grinned. "Well, the good thing that came out of this is I met a reaaal cutie." He saw that Lisa had offered her food and waved it off politely. He looked at her and shrugged. "Eh, well, you know. I can still hear the ringin' in my ears from Hiyori's yelling. The merger was stressful for her, and of course she took it out on me." He faked a frown. "And my poor ears."

He sipped his coffee. "I just hope at this rate I dont go deaf by the age of thirty. Other than that, its just the same 'ol thing. Different building, and new faces." He gave her a smile, raising an eyebrow. "What about you, Miss Receptionist?"
