I understand your concern. It’s difficult to think rationally about a situation when your friends are in danger. The most you can be thankful for is that you’re together, right? Then you can help one another rather than worry about their condition in another world.

That's what I plan to do, yeah. But I can't help but being worried out of my mind.

I've seen how this place can separate two people who care for each other and I don't want anyone else to have to go through that sort of pain.

You make the most of the time you have with those people. You never know when it's going to be taken away from you. It's still like a punch to the gut, but- at least you can remember that time until they take that away from you, too.

Just... some friends of mine started dating. I'd hate this place all the more if it got in the way of their happiness.

It's the only way you can go about this, unless you want to stay completely insulated. This City doesn't really allow that, if you've noticed. Might as well make connections while you can- you never know, they might be back.

This place likes to do that, I won't lie. As we try to settle into one state of being, it continually shakes us up. It's hard, but- I'm still glad I had that time with Faith.

It may be part of its game. I can't be sure. If this place really thrives on negative feelings--- or just feelings, period, of ANY sort... then it makes sense that it'd want people to get involved with each other.

But that's not going to keep us from caring. Even if it may mean we're playing along.
