Son of a bitch!!!! So, I thought my AC adapter was going out on my laptop, since it would only use AC power if the cord was in a certain position. So, I spent $45 on a new AC adapter to find that I'm still getting no power. I read online that this is a common problem and costs $500-$700 to fix. GRRR!!!!!

I would call bullshit with the company on this one. If it is a common problem, then the company should be doing something to fix it.

It's not a Toshiba TE2000 or TE2100 by any chance? Those models had issues galore like that.

It's a dell inspiron 5150. They have a lot of problems too.

Aaah. haven't had much experience with dell's. I hate when "known faults" don't get repaied by the manufacturer :(
