[So, Ciel made a bet he needs to fulfill. There is no much more that might be mentioned: Bowser's invasion of his house, Elizabeth's arrival, Sebastian's disappearance, and his offer to Honda Kiku... but he has no desire to dwell on any of those. Thus, his vocal question is just as follows:]Given the choice to remain bound in Luceti ( Read more... )

Because you've got things waiting for you at home, eh?

Because I am a sensible being who does not wish to be imprisoned.

What if being imprisoned is better than being in your world, though?

I cannot see how that would be possible.

Well, if everyone from my world ended up here, they would probably rather live here than ever go back to that world again.

Your world may be a better place than this, but not everyone has that.

And what makes that world so horrid that you would prefer this prison which tramples on any shred of dignity that a human has?

Ever live on a desert planet with no plants and no water above ground? Where bandits reign free and there aren't any laws to protect people? Where there are entire towns dying of starvation in the west, or a place bullied by murdering sleezebags in the north?

Luceti's no paradise, but even I can see it's got less downsides than my world.

I was not aware we were having a contest of tragedy.

[Oh so dryly.]

Oh, sorry. I didn't know you liked to ask questions without the idea of someone answering them. Like usual.

The question I asked may have well have been rhetorical. However, if that is your opinion, then luck may indeed have been on your side this far.

Hell, even if some people are from great worlds, what if they were brought from the dead? They probably'd rather stay alive than return to being dead again.

There are those who would welcome death over this hell.

not_a_bluesbro November 30 2010, 00:55:56 UTC
Are you speaking for them, then? Have you gotten the chance to ask them what they thought?

Or is it that you're replying based on what your thinking is?

soulbait November 30 2010, 23:51:23 UTC
Are you not speaking on behalf of your entire world?

Reply

I definitely am. I've spoken with so many people over the years, it makes me dizzy just thinking about it... As the typical priest, I ended up doing plenty of burial work-not pretty, lemme tell ya, and people make their opinions pretty well known in times like those.
