The last thing I remember is fighting J and being totally and completely awesome, then going to Negi's training thingie and meeting a guy who wore all black and had this ominous breathing... not to mention this sword made from pure light

News flash darling, you're not royalty here and you may have responsibilities but no one says you can't act like a kid. When was the last time you took Hana out and just had some good stupid fun? That's why I got a job so I could do stuff that wasn't as do or die as save the world.

Darkness is in jail, until he gets out he's not your responsibility.

Sure you still have responsibilities to protect and serve and all that but for heavens sake Hoshi you're barely a teenager. Take some time off it won't ruin things.

I know that, Jinx. And I have a two jobs, in fact. The bakery and DATS. The bakery is good time fun and DATS is something that helps me prove my worth.

I know he is, but I can't help but not worry over him.

...When I was taking care of my arms, I did have fun and I did take time off. I just... mrgh.

Sounds to me like you're worrying too much honey.

You get your butt kicked, we get upset because we love you, it's how things happen. We chew you out and then give you the comfort and support you need. I'm surprised you haven't gotten used to that yet.

If you're really worried why not pay him a visit? You can go talk to him through the cage I bet. Plenty of armed guards and the like...I wouldn't get too close though.

You need to take time off that isn't forced. Train just enough to stay in shape, spend time with the people you love. Get in touch with Hoshi, not "Hoshi the eventual leader, hero and all around goddess of ass kick."

Just... I wish people wouldn't chew me out just 'cause I'm having fun. I know it sounds completely childish, but I just wanna be able to make mistakes and yes, get my ass kicked. I know it's 'cause people love me, but still. It gets to be too much when, oh I don't know, Hana becomes distant of me and calls me "Hikari-san" of all things?

I could and try to understand where he's coming from...

Worrying causes stress, stress is not always a good thing. Sometimes yeah but you have too much of it.

So maybe we need to be a little flexible, Hana's too young to understand that sort of stuff. He's just coping the best way he knows how. You're not gonna be able to rebuild that bridge without working with him. So you're not his Hoshi, you can still be a Hoshi that he can love and respect.

And he could try to understand where your coming from...but as the older one you have more experience to work with.

I'm proud of you for what you do, we all are. We just sometimes forget to show it before we express out concern.

You know, there is something that I haven't done much of and that's meditation. I need to go back to the lagoon and sit under that waterfall for as long as I need it, anyway.

Hoshi you're 16. You know what I was dealing with at 16? A lame boyfriend, being unpopular at school and hating my body. I mean sure I was also plotting world domination but that was more of a school thing.

You're dealing with saving the whole freaking world.

You deserve some time to just be a girl...or a boy whatever you prefer.

Well... when I'm at home, I do pretty much nothing but lay around in the sun, play in the trees or do stuff like, um... climb the roof and skateboard on it.
