There was a light knock on her door, the young man who had arrived in this place with her standing outside with a tea tray in hand. "Milady?" Came the quiet question a few moments later. He wasn't sure what to expect of the teenager when the door was opened, human feelings were so far beyond him. Even if he wished to be human with all his meager heart, it was not quite possible as he was.
If she would allow him inside, he would have to put forth his opinion on her status in this place. Even though he was simply a servant, he did not want her anywhere near this battle so soon after their defeat in Rokkenjima. It was his duty, and his only wish to keep her safe.
A little nerve-wracked, the blonde stood as she heard a knock, her eyebrows still knit with worry for the boy outside of the door. She moved over to it, pulling the door back to meet his gaze.
"Come in," she said, moving aside to let him in. He was the one she trusted in this place, where she knew no one. For all she knew, he could be a figment of her imagination, or a specter in her own version of the afterlife. But the others had said that it wasn't that kind of thing, hadn't they?
"Thanks for coming," she said, closing the door once he had entered.
