It probably would have been smarter for her to remain behind, after all she had been behind on her sleep for a while. Even though finding people was suppose to be her forte, that powers that allowed her to do so, so easily had been taken away from her. Talk about irony, if that hadn't happened she would have been able to find this person easily.
As fate would have it though she wasn't able to do that, and in her state she wasn't quite operating at 100%. Still, this was a perfect opportunity to get to know the city a little more, meet others, but most importantly she wanted to witness everything with her own eyes so she could know exactly what happened.

Maka was quickly able to pick out Rise standing against the wall, and so went over to greet her. "Good morning. Sorry we're a little late."
Reply
"Morning! I wasn't waiting too long." she reassured, pushing herself off the wall and giving Maka a polite bow. It was nice to see her face to face again. She hadn't talked with Maka often, but she had been the person who had helped and answered most of her questions here, and she had also kept her safe back during the attacks.
"Was something wrong?" she couldn't help but ask. Rise didn't think they were too late--especially since people still seemed to be coming out, but Maka had come off as someone who would be a stickler about those kinds of things.

"That's good. In that case, we're probably going to wait a little longer for more people to arrive before heading off," she said, glancing around for any others that might be arriving soon.
"Ah, well," she started, casting a look over Soul's way. "We ran into a couple of distractions along the way. It wasn't anything terrible, though."

She wasn't really sure how much help she'd be, but she really wanted to do her best anyway. If someone was in trouble, like this Death the Kid seemed to be, then she'd help as much as she could. Besides, the older girl with the pigtails - her name was Maka, right? - has said she could come and she seemed really nice.
Still, for now, Sakura stayed to the side and waited, wondering if this would turn out to be some kind of adventure.

So, he'd put on his jacket about his shoulders and made his way to the meeting point.
And that's when he noticed a familiar little girl who was rather adorable when he met her the day before. Homura had never encountered someone like her before.
"Sakura," He greeted.
Reply
"Hello Homura-san! I didn't know you'd be here, too. How are you doing today?"
Never let it be said that her father and brother didn't raise her to be polite.

And really, he'd never been to school before. Homura knew what a school was, he wasn't dumb but all this was an entirely knew experience. And he now had extra time on his hands. He was fully mortal, it seemed, but that didn't mean he was going to die any day like before.
"I am fine, yourself?" He finally answered her other question. It was actually rather nice to actually have a normal conversation that isn't laden with hidden agendas and messages between the lines.
Though those were fun at the same time.

This was war. Casualties were created when people made foolish decisions.
Bounding up the stairs, hands pocketed, he shot the two girls a grin that didn't say how tired he was. There wasn't room for fatigue until after the mission.
"Hey, hey~! Nice morning, right?"
Reply
"It'll get hot before long," he said, casting a gaze toward the sky. The sun was already laughing, rising steadily in the sky. Once noon hit, it would be scorching. "Hopefully this won't take all day."
If they did it right, Kid would be back in no time.

"What do you expect out there?" Lavi knew what his job was, no matter what universe he was in. If anything he'd evaluate the opposition they were up against, record and report in full detail when they all returned home. What he'd do with that report...well he'd have to decide on that later.

And it was the truth. Soul didn't like to brag, but he was half of one of the best teams in Shibusen. If something came up, it would be no problem - rarely were any pre-kishins wandering around in broad daylight. The ones who did were stupid. "We'll be fine," he said, drinking from his cup of Deathbucks.

He hadn't felt like doing much of anything, really, least it triggered what England had said to be 'random blades off of your body.' That would not have been good at all. And though he could sit in a room for a decade no problem, he wanted to go home, where he wouldn't be told to find a partner or take Canada's pantry (well, alright, he would've done that anyway) or be paranoid over the 'free' thing or get stared at--
Oh, look. A giant hedgehog.
-- No, no, the hedgehog ( ... )

The imaginary count-off hit eight, and China finally let go, folding his arms together under his sleeves and tilting his head.
"You do run very fast. But is it because of your shoes, aru?" There'd been a pause, before he asked that, but 'surveillance' was finished and he finally looked back down at the other, apparently oblivious to the obvious rage he'd most likely caused.

He shook his head, no- he could do something. Even if he wasn't too sure what it was yet.
As he approached the school he slowed his pace until he stopped at the edge of the crowd. looking it over. He spotted Rise easy enough (he was used to looking for red-hair) but what really caught his attention was the black...creature that was a few yards away. He furrowed his brow, it sort of looked like a Weavil, only with different colors.
