Laura watched her Meister move off with some puzzlement. Danger was unlikely now that her Shadow was gone, but... perhaps he had his reasons?

The girl made as if to follow him (it was only proper, as his Weapon), but immediately thought twice when her whole body protested. She braced herself against the wall, feeling, once more, the weight and pain of her injuries.

At least it was over.

Ash gave Laura a nod before grinning at her laugh, "I don't mind." he was glad she could laugh after that encounter. "but, you're welcome."

Laura didn't answer for a while; she was tired, but she also wanted to bask in the relief that came with putting an end to things.

She was a little worried, though, about everyone else. The Shadows were bound to be dangerous. Hers was.

He didn't mind the quiet, just keeping pace easily with her.

"Once we get back to the Heights, you need to let someone looks at what...she did to you."

"I would like that very much."

Laura had no wish to remain helpless or idle, not while the situation was still clearly dire for the majority of the residents of Death City.

"Did you... have any trouble similar to mine?"

That question caught him a little off guard and he turned to look straight ahead. "Yeah...it was easier to understand your shadow." Hi shad...been completely crazy; it had scared the young trainer (something he hadn't felt in a while.)

"...I didn't think I'd get one."

"Is it okay for me to ask what he was like?"

She was curious, but Laura was not about to push if Ash did not want to tell her.

It was only fair, he'd seen her shadow after all. He shooks his head, "Nah it's okay I just wasn't expecting him to be so..." He paused, searching for the right word. "So much of a psycho."

"I see."

Laura did not know what else to say, but she placed her hand on his arm, watching him with... concern, was it? And... sympathy. Feelings were things she had difficulty with, but it seemed as though she was learning a lot of things from her stay in Death City.

"It was weird." He paused, this is just what his shadow had taunted him with. Keeping everything in, forgetting or ignoring what happened.

"But it's alright now, right? I mean...they told us what we need to hear. At least that's what I think it's supposed to be."

"Yes."

Laura patted Ash's arm, feeling another smile touch her face. She was a little worried, though - her Meister had been gone for sometime now.

"Let us go find Mr. Armstrong before we go to the hospital."

He returned the smile easily before blinking and staring towards the fog. That's right, Armstrong had gone off to look around. "Yeah, I just hope he didn't actually run into anything."

"We should call out for him...hang on." He took his free hand and cupped it to his mouth, "ARMSTRONG!?"

Actually, Armstrong was much closer than you think; after all, he had been standing just around the corner, tears running down his cheeks as he listened to the sad details of Laura's life - to be denied her own humanity! - and rejoiced in the fact that Laura had now found Ash to care for her.

And so, well Ash called out he appeared out of the fog in a haze of sparkles to suddenly reach out and hug them both. "I am so glad you two have found each other!" He bawled.

"...Eh?"

Naturally, Laura was clueless towards such things.

Ash erked at the hug, "Found...but you found her first. I just followed you." Confused Ash!

Armstrong just continued to hug them as tears escaped from his eyes. Young love! It was so wonderful!

"Let us go home!" he announced.
