VICTMS/RANDOM ENCOUNTERS halfcow January 9 2012, 08:57:49 UTC
This is a "First-come, first-served", ie, people are attacked in the order that they arrived. For example, if Bakura comments first to this log post, he will be the first victim. After Tenten comments, Ryoki will gather the explosives and crutch and will be using them for the future victims that follow Tenten's comment.
Unless you wish to make this a two-victim deal (as in, the two were walking together and Ryoki attacks them both), try to keep separated threads for each of you.
Those who are in this just for fighting/confront also post here and follow the chronology the same way as described above.

Victims are allowed to meet the team that will capture Ryoki, on the thread below. Those who would like medical help also have a another thread for that.

Lili had seen Ryoki's post on the network a little while ago. She thought about leaving him a message, but decided against it. What was there to say? Arguing over it wouldn't help, Ryoki had never been open to reason, and he certainly wouldn't be now.

She hadn't forgotten about it when she ran into him on the street. Holding something that was on fire. This would end well.

After a deep breath, she called out to him. "Ryoki? What are you doing?"

Ryoki stumbled through the streets, and while he seemed to walk aimlessly, he just wanted to reach the desert. Dragging along several Molotov cocktails - he didn't even remember to bring a weapon, but he didn't particularly miss it - he would just burn his way there. Or burn with it.

At first he didn't even bother to listen to Lili, but his eyes noticed her and he turned his head. He didn't smile, nor laughed like he'd usually do. This wasn't funny. This wasn't funny at all.

"Burning this city down." he gave one step closer to her "Do you want to burn with it?"

She tensed. Lili had spent more than enough time with him to realize that his behavior was unusual, even moreso than it always was. There was a twinge of fear, but she pushed it back. She had told him before that he should come to her to satisfy his bloodlust, rather than do anything stupid. Maybe she could help, providing he hadn't already caused any serious damage.

"No, I don't. I'll fight you without the fire, if you like."

CAPTURE TEAM COORDINATION halfcow January 9 2012, 08:58:08 UTC
This is for the team that is after Ryoki to stop him, capture him and send him to jail. Characters can interact as they please (*cough*sasukekarkatnaruto*cough*), discus how they'll do this or, if they wish to, even talk to those who got attacked (because you guys are following a path, so it's no surprise if you meet injured people).
Neji is currently stalking Ryoki so he will coordinate how the team should follow (since Ryo is leaving a trail of fire and destruction behind him, and he isn't following a specific path).

This is not the capture itself, that's below.

[in the F/S district?] [closed to Sasuke and Naruto] dungenessmaster January 9 2012, 13:35:54 UTC
(OOC: just fair warning, I'm having a hell of a time posting on LJ. I have better luck after about 2 AM, so let's do this!

Also, if you guys would prefer action over prose, feel free to switch!)

Karkat, following Neji's intelligence, was one of the ones keeping on Ryoki's trail. It was kind of pissing him off. It seemed like they couldn't go more than a few weeks without someone losing their mind and going bugshit all over Death City, leaving people laid up in the horrorspital. Screw Madness and Witch hexes; at this point it felt like all the other side really had to do was wait for Shibusen and its guests to wreck themselves from the inside.

He made a brief memo, his first since returning to Death City, warning the other trolls to stay off the streets yet again, then took off down a side street in an attempt to cut Ryoki off. He had another reason for trying to shave time off the run, too. He still wasn't sure what exactly had happened to Naruto or of Sasuke had been involved at all, but if both deputies jumped into this, there ( ... )

The last few days had been something of an emotional roller coaster for Sasuke, but somehow, by the time he rose this morning, he'd felt more rejuvenated than he had since before Christmas. He still wasn't sure who had seen his little display at the training grounds yesterday morning, but Sasuke was attempting to put it out of his mind.

Who saw didn't matter, not since his point had been delivered to the one person it mattered.

But when the alarm went off, the spark Sasuke had thought he'd lost had been rekindled. The name was one he recognized, he was sure he'd had an altercation with this man once before, and he would have been more annoyed if he wasn't enticed by the prospect of the fight. He had energy, and now a place to expend it.

Plus, it was aggravating, having these idiots making a scene when they had bigger things to worry about. Like war.But Sasuke was moving through the district, following the sounds of upheaval, and so when he leaps between the buildings to ground level, he only realizes once he's hit the pavement who ( ... )

He's been running for what feels like ages, and as his sandals clack over the roof tops, rattling shingles and scuffing pain, Naruto still has yet to catch sight of their target. His pace slows as he rounds a corner, just enough to pivot his weight onto another ledge, but the view remains equally chaotic. They're on the right track- but it's still nothing concrete ( ... )

Surround him, try to talk to him (that... won't really work), and just be careful of the explosives and the crazy bull waving around a crutch he stole from Tenten.
Amaterasu will have the Calming wavelength to aid you all, so that’s a plus. It’s also a plus if you manage to tire him out, because he’ll surrender to you freely. Unless you wish to knock him out, that can work too.

He was too damn tired. It's like everyone wants to go out and check what's going on when shit hits the fan. Or maybe Ryoki didn't realize this godddamn city had so many people in it.

Who cared?

Ryoki had no explosives left, but he had a crutch he stole from Tenten. He didn't particularly remember fighting her nor how he got the crutch, but it didn't matter. He was nearly there, anyway. And once he got to the desert, a bomb could drop on the city and he wouldn't care less. He just wanted to get the hell out of there.

The curled claws are the only thing that truly announce her arrival as each one strikes against Death City's pavement, clicking as she finally comes to a halt before the exit. Could she have been quieter following him? Certainly, but it's quite enough; she certainly didn't enjoy being roused from her slumber to smell smoke.

There's a distance maintained between her and the boy, but her head is high and muscles tense as her ears swivel forward. Amaterasu wasn't growling; not yet at least.

Ryoki stopped when he saw a white dog standing there, a bit further away from him. He hadn't paid enough attention to the network to even realize there was a wolf (and not a dog, but for Ryo it's all the same) in city, so he sort of didn't pay too much attention to her.

At least, he wouldn't, but as he walked, it's like the animal was following him - usually they'd run off with such commotion no?

"Figures..." Kanji stepped out of one of the many convenience stores, scratching the top of his head. They didn't have that boxed dinner he liked, but he supposed he could just grab ingredients and cook something up with what pans he had available to him. In his mild grumping about, he didn't notice anything at first.

Not until he saw the flickering lights... The street lights weren't orange. Didn't flicker, either. Then, he smelled smoke. A fire!?

"Shit!" The tiered layout of Death City let him see that it wasn't just some random house fire... the smoke and lights told him all he needed to know.

Kanji set off without another thought.

He made a quick detour to a nearby cafe's outdoor seating, scooping up one of the metal chairs when he heard a whistle from above. Kanji's teeth bared, and he was ready to turn around and happen upon the one behind the fires and beat the living hell out of them.

Instead he found Ling just touching down to the ground and seeming to regret that decision. Kanji tried that once at home. Never again.

"You're that guy from the other day," he said, a tone of warning in his voice. Was he the one that did this!? His grip on the chair tightened.

"The hell's going on!?"
