Rei had a lot of experience behind her at hiding her emotions; blocking them off and keeping herself perfectly calm, collected and pokerfaced.

She accesses it all now, her back ramrod straight in her seat as the guide drives them along. Her fingers grip at her pants, twisting them in her fingers as the only sign of unease to betray her. However, when she looks to Nepeta, she can't help but smile.

"I used to travel quite a bit, but I've never been out here. I wish I'd brought a camera..." Rei turned to look out her own window, watching the trees roll passed. A moment later she returned her attention to Nepeta. "Did your home look anything like this?"

Nepeta shook her head. "Alternia was real diffurent furrom any place I've seen on Earth. Fur one our stars were a lot diffurent. We had two moons, and one sun. One really, really bright sun. A lot stronger than the one here." The corners of her lips turned up in a grin, "and without a face."

She finally pulled away from the window to give Rei her undivided attention.

"I'm purrty sure the fact that this sun is fairly weak is the only reason us trolls haven't burned up. It did take a little getting use to though, and that's why I still usually sleep during the day. As fur my home specifically, I lived waaaaay out, far furrom any of the cities. In the furrest with my lusus." She gave a wistful sigh. She still missed it, but she didn't dare leave Death City again. Not after what had happened the last time she had wanted to be alone and get a breath of fresh air.
