With that distinctive flute music, she didn’t need to look back to tell that he was following. For the sake of other peoples’ ears, she had thought it best to lead her eccentric friend away from the main training area. So, they were now walking down a path in an area of the park she hadn’t seen before.
“Um, Ryuuren, you are a Weapon, right?” She had never been completely sure given his sometimes nonsensical replies to her questions. But he had suggested they be partners when she first arrived…

"Of course." He'd said it before hadn't he? (Not in any clear, or make-sensical way, no. But of course he hadn't noticed.

“What do you turn into, anyway?” Eve had told her that some people turned into unusual things and with Ryuuren being the way he was, she wouldn’t be surprised if he turned into something weird and flashy.

Rather than telling her, he decided to just show her. He sat down after tucking his flute into his sash, because even he knew forcing her to catch him before he fell to the ground was asking too much. Beside, she might get hurt when trying to catch him, and that was the last thing he wanted. He closed his eyes and after a moment there was a flash of light and then in Ryuuren's place...
...was a really, really boring looking double edged sword. It was unadorned except on e guard where the crest of the Ran family could be seen. It looked the opposite of what anyone would have expected from Ryuuren.
