Luke recived the message and sighed, resisting the urge to send back a message of 'Do I have to?' He really wasn't ready for this, he didn't know quite why but the idea of confronting Tear about this was more frightening then anyone else.

Slowly he made his way down stairs, taking the stares instead of the elevator to give himself more time, which wasn't exactly a good thing. As he walked his mind was racing with all the ways this could end up wrong, everything he had ever said to her that was terribly insensitive. He worried that it would all end up a giant mess because of his own stupid, big mouth.

He hesiated at the bottom of the stairs, before she could see him, collecting up his courage. Finally he stepped out into view.

...she's forgotten how long his hair had been. How tall he was. How green his eyes were and how awkward he could look, when nervous.

Tear stood her own distance, her heels together and her arms locked firmly at her sides. She didn't know what she had planned on saying to him either - there had been plans made, in her head, but when he's there, in front of her again, the words fly right away.

And what was she supposed to say...to make sure she didn't reveal anything, to remember this wasn't the Luke she said goodbye to on Eldrant.

Finally, she steps forward, but just once. "Luke," she says, and that's all she says, her face blank.

Luke takes a deep breath before taking a few steps closer. He really couldn't afford to keep avoiding her every chance he got, besides, this was Tear, not someone like Van. Maybe this wouldn't be half as bad as his imagination kept coming up with.

"Tear." He said in response, letter her know he had heard her, and trying to say that he was going to listen to her. He felt like he was only seven years old, standing here like this, waiting to find out how this was going to go.

Her hands were shaking.

She clenches them into fists, and relaxes them. Breathe in, breathe out. Tear smiles and takes another step forward - she raises a hand to touch his face, shaking and jumping when she feels something real under them.

He's alive.

"It's good to see you again, Luke," she says, and even she can't keep her voice as steady as she wants it to be. Her fingers brush bits of hair out of his eyes. "You look well..."
