ooc: please reply to this thread after Guy replies with his shock and joy. This is just to condense things so there aren't a thousand surprise tags, aha. /)__(\ ]

As focused on the challenge as Gai was, he really didn't think there was more to it. It had taken Tenten time to set this up, and he was assuming that this was all there was. It was more than enough, after all. And since he was without his ability to sense chakra, or life energy, in others, Gai had no idea that there were people waiting for him.
Gai charged up the stairs with a triumphant look on his face. The crowd was something he hadn't been expecting, but he was searching for Tenten. He had to beat Kakashi, after all. It's not until there's a yell of surprise and happy birthday that it sinks in that the crowd is there for him, and he stands there, surprised. And also, for one of the few times that anyone has seen, silent. He really doesn't know what to say to this.]

She just stares back, for a good minute or two staring at Guy in silence. Was he angry? Was he upset that she faked apathy for his birthday? Was he still trying to process what went on? Maybe he's in a coma or something.
After waving briefly she just continues to stare at him totally flustered, in confusion, and worriment. She eventually decides to speak up, walking over him to try and put her hand on his shoulders. Or tries. There's only so much one 5'3" kunoichi can do. ]
Uh, Guy-sensei?

Tenten? They are... for me? This all...
[He shakes his head. The dinner was the biggest birthday party he'd ever had, and while he works hard to make sure others feel that they matter, he never really expected anyone to return that. He'd never been bothered by any lack of return either, because that wasn't what he did it for.
At a loss for more words, Gai grabs Tenten in a very tight and enthusiastic hug.]
It is amazing, my student. Splendid! It is more than I ever dreamed of and that does not happen often at all! For me...
[There is a sense of wonder in his voice as he looks over her shoulder.]
...Can this maybe not count toward the eight hugs that I get?

Ooc: for a list of games and food available go here. You're free to make up a game too if it's something you'd find at a midway at a carnival. ]

Very appreciative.
And hopefully have a momentary lapse in his otherwise perfect aim.
Anyone who passed the dunk-tank witnessed a certain ninja dressed in nothing but swim-trunks and a pea-coat, reading one of his ...less valuable pornographic novels. Despite his inner discomfort and annoyance, on the outside, Kakashi looked calm, collected, and happily oblivious to the goings-on around him.]

My Eternal Rival? What... Was this what happened for losing? I returne first and you are now being dunked? But it is cold outside!
[Stating the obvious was something that Gai did best.]

This was entirely your bun-headed student's idea of a good time. I hope you enjoy popsicles.
[The latter wasn't meant to be suggestive--it was, actually, kind of grumpy--but as soon as he said it, Kakashi decided he liked the implication of what one might do to a popsicle better than the thought of being frozen like one. From behind his mask he gave Gai a small smile before seeming to turn his attention back to his book.]

Jade?! You're helping me clean up? [ What a pleasant surprise! She'll stroll over to Jade though, it'd be funner if they accomplished the same task together. ]
