Sephiroth didn't care and had no interest in the festivities of other cultures He didn't even care about the ones they had back on Gaea either, so he had simply kept to himself and ignored them. Cloud had spent the previous morning with his family, and he had simply remained on the balcony in their apartment until the blonde Meister had returned. Nothing else had occurred, and Sephiroth found that he hadn't wanted it any other way ( ... )

"You'd catch me on my way down," he pointed out confidently, a roguish smile on his face. He held up a finger, no matter how odd it would look like upside down, and asked inquiringly: "How are you feeling, Seph?"

All of them had been injured during the attack, and Kuroro hadn't been an exception. Kuroro, however, had the very big advantage of a weapon that could heal his meister, and so hadn't suffered too lengthy and adverse effects. If he was in any pain now, he hid it well or ignored it.

Sephiroth simply gave Kuroro the look at the Meister's reply. While what the other said may have held some truth in it, the ex-General wasn't about to admit to it. Not that he needed to, but he wasn't one to further incriminate himself in such ways.

The question had him peering thoughtfully at the inquisitive face before he glanced away. "As well as can be expected," he muttered. Had it been anyone else, Sephiroth would have brushed the topic off and changed it to something else. Kuroro, however, was more than well aware of his injuries, and he saw little point with ignoring it.

Kuroro knew that, and so didn't push for a verbal answer -- it was enough to see that look again, because if there was one thing Kuroro liked doing, it was pushing all sorts of buttons on all sorts of people.

"You're doing well, then," he said agreeably, knowing that either way, it wasn't like Seph was going to be very specific. It wasn't in their friendship for him to fuss. Kuroro unhooked one ankle and then the other, dropping down the last few feet to Sephiroth's rail before depositing himself at the man's feet.
