[ There were people that he did not want to come to his party, and even if he said that he could have others throw them out, Clovis did not want to put those that he considers friends in danger. If he had a little bit of his previous thought process, he would have felt nothing about it. Pity, really. He lets out a soft sigh and cannot help but be a little surprised that Genesis invited him out.

He is a little frightened out on his own at night -- still, but he tips his head up as he tries show that he isn't afraid. It is pathetic of him to still be suffering of those feelings. He won't allow it. He'll pretend it didn't happen. That is how he can act as he is now, because he is putting all those negative feelings into a little box and throwing it away.

A smile comes -- nervous at first, before it is more genuine -- as he sees Genesis.]

I hope I have not kept you waiting long.

No, you have not. Come. We should be merry, seeing as this holiday you know of is drawing close. I still don't understand it, but it seems like people are exerting a right to be happy.

Is it not everyone's right to be happy on such an occasion? [An added tilt of his head as he smiles brightly up at Genesis.] I hope that you can take this time to exert such happiness, as well.

I don't understand though-- why such merriment? What's the cause of all just joy? [He beams at him as they are seated at a table by a window.]

But whether or not I do come to understanding it, everyone's happiness is rather... infectious.
